As an Engineering Manager on the engineering team, you'll contribute to building the best top-notch engineering team and solving end-to-end business problems at scale, powering our flagship data aggregator platform, which directly impacts millions of creators each day. This is a unique opportunity for an EM who can work with talented people in product, design, engineering, and other teams to help build our next-generation creator products. It's a very high-impact role where you will interface with all major product & platform teams at Phyllo, building out the coverage platform experiences. Part of the core team and responsible for end-to-end development.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience with 10+ years of experience.

  • Strong management and team development skills.

  • Drive technical excellence, operational maturity, innovation, and quality processes within your team.

  • Help create a tech roadmap and drive alignment on how to tackle the roadmap and deliver high-leverage solutions at the group and organization levels.

  • Engage with the latest technology and industry trends to continually evolve and improve the application experiences.

  • Experience in managing multiple stakeholders across different teams.

  • Proven record of designing and implementing large-scale distributed systems.

  • Experience in designing and building backward-compatible REST or GraphQL APIs

  • Ability to work in high-growth and rapidly scaling startups.

  • Good interpersonal skills, deep technical ability and track record of successful execution.

  • Experience in building high-performing teams where each team member feels the impact of their work.

Job requirements

  • Experience in designing and deploying high-performance, highly scalable, robust, and fault-tolerant distributed systems with extensive monitoring and logging practices.

  • Experience working in any cloud services (AWS GCP or Azure)

  • Ability to decompose sophisticated business problems into clean, extensible, performant services and systems.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including writing detailed technical documents.

  • Demonstrated experience in shipping high-quality product features on schedule.
